Edward Daniel Robinson, age 70, of Norwood Young America, Minnesota, passed away July 29, 2018. Ed was born Oct. 31, 1947 in Traverse City. He graduated from Traverse City Central High School in 1965.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, James Robinson and Bertha (Robinson) Minier; father and mother-in-law, Alfred and Marie Clous; and sister and brother-in-law, Richard and Joanne (Clous) Scott.
Ed is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Marlene (Clous) Robinson; daughters, Jennifer (Brandon) Monk, of Forest, Mississippi, Katie Robinson, of Jordan, Minnesota; brother, James Robinson, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island; and sister, Eva (Ed) Osga, of Traverse City. Also surviving are grandchildren, Tyler and Daniel Monk, of Mississippi, Robert (Sally) Clous, of Lake Ann, Richard (Ann) Clous, of Cadillac, Nancy (Robert) Scholl, of North Carolina, Donald (Patty) Clous, of Cadillac, Gary (Liz) Clous, of Traverse City, Linda (Jacob) Roop, of Traverse City, Jane (Michael) Krajnik, of Batten-Kill, Ken Clous (Louise Welch), of Cadillac; and many nieces and nephews.
Ed joined the U.S. Navy in 1966. He loved snowmobiling, water skiing, motorcycle riding, hunting and fishing.
He worked at Chef Pierre in Traverse City, Sara Lee in Forest, Mississippi and Legendary Baking in Chaska, Minnesota.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on June 6, 2019 at St. Patrick Catholic Church at 11 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
