Love INC

The purpose of this ministry:Love INC serves as a national, non-profit organization whose mission is to break the cycle of poverty by focusing on the local community. This group brings local churches together in order to pool assets and strengths, and efficiently and collectively provide assistance to those in need. They do so in two major ways:
- By operating a hotline for the needy who can either receive aid directly with Love INC resources or can be directed to another agency better equipped to provide based on the actual requirement.
- By organizing and supporting churches as they sponsor gap ministries designed to fill the holes in the local community that can lead to continued poverty and desperation, for example, Manage Your Money ministry.
The duties of this ministry:- Attend and participate in meetings with other church coordinators and staff of Love INC.
- Serve as liaison between St Patrick parish and Love INC.
- Periodically update parish councils on Love INC activities and short/long term plans, paying particular attention to targets of opportunity for the parish to contribute.
- Input to the weekly bulletin in the form of Love notes as a means of providing the parish Love INC highlights.
The skills, abilities, and gifts desired to serve in this ministry:- In general, be ready when called upon to assist with the gap ministries as described above. In addition to the Manage Your Money ministry, Love INC is developing the following:
- Crib ministry
- Used medical equipment
- Computers, home repair, bikes, etc.
- Donate time at the Love INC office on a weekly or monthly basis.
- Commit to being a financial supporter.
